Delete Pages and Subsites

Deleting pages and subsites may result in broken links on your Commonwealth agency website, other Commonwealth agency websites, or other websites.  It is recommended that you confirm a page should be deleted before doing so. 


Delete a Page

To delete a page so it is no longer available on your Commonwealth agency website:

  1. Click the Settings icon in the top-right of the page you'd like to delete. 

  2. Settings menu will display;  click Edit page

  3. On the ribbon in the Page tab, click Delete Page. 

  4. Click OK to confirm deleting the page or click Cancel to keep the page. 


Delete a Subsite

Please note:  deleting a subsite will delete pages and all other files contained within the subsite (images, documents, etc.)  To delete a subsite so it is no longer available on your Commonwealth agency website:

  1. Click the Settings icon in the top-right of a page

  2. Settings menu will display;  click Site settings

  3. Site Settings page will display.  Under the Site Administration section, click Content and structure.

  4. Site Content and Structure view will display.  Navigate to the site in which you would like to delete. a new subsite.
      
  5. In the left-side panel, hover over the subsite you would like to delete the click the down arrow to display the pulldown menu then click Delete

  6. Click OK to confirm deleting the page or click Cancel to keep the page.
